SMS Consent & Messaging Program
Last Updated: September 25, 2026
Bandayd is a service of PHM Enterprises LLC. References to either name on this page refer to the same business.
This page describes the SMS messaging program operated by Bandayd at bandayd.com. We operate two separate messaging flows, each with its own opt-in:
- App users — security codes, plus optional work alerts a user switches on for themselves, for people who sign in to the Bandayd application.
- Customer service notifications — appointment, job, and account-status text updates for customers of the businesses that use Bandayd to run their service operations.
You only receive messages from a flow you have opted into. The two flows are described separately below.
See the opt-in screens: every place an app user agrees to texts — including the screens that are only visible after signing in — is shown with its exact live wording athttps://bandayd.com/legal/sms-consent/opt-in.
A. App Users — Security Codes and Optional Work Alerts
A.1 Program Purpose
For people who sign in to the Bandayd application (business owners and their staff), we send SMS for account security — sign-in verification codes, phone-number verification codes and password-reset codes — and, only if the user switches them on, work alerts about their own account (A.5). These are not marketing messages.
A.2 How Users Opt In
A user opts in by entering their own mobile number and asking for a code by text on the phone verification screen or the password reset screen. A code is only sent when the user taps the Send button. The disclosure below appears directly above that button and reads exactly:
By requesting a code by text message, you agree to receive one-time passcode SMS from Bandayd for account security. Message frequency varies with sign-in activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. SMS terms
Shown for verification only; the live screens are /auth/login-verify-phone and /auth/forgot.
A.3 Sample Messages
Bandayd: your temporary access code is 482917. Don't share it. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.Bandayd: New job assigned: Kitchen faucet at 12 Oak St, Thu, Oct 9 9:00 AM. Reply STOP to opt out.
A.4 Message Frequency
Codes are user-initiated only — typically 0–4 per month, sent only when the user asks for one. Work alerts (A.5) vary with the user’s own workload, typically 0–10 per week.
A.5 Optional Work Alerts
Signed-in users can separately switch on Text (SMS) notifications in their own notification settings. The switch is off by default and its label reads: “Off by default. Texts important alerts to your mobile. Standard message rates may apply; reply STOP to opt out. Requires a mobile number on your profile.” Alerts go only to the user who switched them on, about work assigned to them, and stop when they switch it off or reply STOP.
B. Customer Service Notifications
B.1 Program Purpose
Businesses use Bandayd to manage service work (estimates, jobs, scheduling, invoicing). When you are a customer of one of these businesses, that business may text you about the work it is doing for you: appointment confirmations, changes and cancellations; a link to a quote you asked for; a link to an invoice or account statement; and replies to questions you send. These are transactional and conversational service messages tied to service you requested — never marketing or promotional messages. Every message starts with the business’s name and ends with “Sent via Bandayd. Reply STOP to opt out.”
B.2 How Customers Opt In
There is no public sign-up form for this flow: a customer’s number is only ever added by the business they are dealing with. You opt in when you give your mobile number to that business and agree to receive text updates — in person at the job site, over the phone, or in writing (email or a signed work order) — when you request or schedule service. Before you agree, the business reads or shows you this disclosure:
“Can [Business name] text you about your appointments, quotes, invoices and job updates at this number? The texts come from Bandayd on our behalf. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Privacy policy: https://bandayd.com/legal/privacy”
Only after you say yes does the business record your consent on your customer record in Bandayd, together with the date and how it was obtained. The record looks like this (unchecked by default):
Shown for verification only; the functional control is on the customer record inside Bandayd. The date consent was given is stamped automatically.
Bandayd enforces this. Our system will not send a text from this program to a customer whose record does not show consent, or who has replied STOP or asked not to be texted. Consent is never a condition of purchase or service — you can decline and still get service by phone or email. We never message purchased, rented or third-party lists.
